Made from dense coating wool, these models are cut according to the rules of tailoring: with lapels and a sharp shoulder line. Lengths range from cropped (53 cm) to elongated (79 cm) models. The main line uses 100% virgin wool or textured wool blended with mohair and alpaca. This hybrid fabric holds its shape perfectly and adapts the aesthetics of a classic jacket to the demands of transitional weather.
Coat-blazer, coat or longline jacket: what's the difference
The key feature of this type of outerwear is the combination of refined tailoring and enhanced warmth. The model combines the lapels, flap pockets and structured shoulder line typical of suiting with the density of coating fabric. That's why these models are sometimes called a «coat-blazer», although in terms of function it is full-fledged outerwear.
This piece differs from a classic jacket in its material. Instead of suiting viscose or cotton, it uses dense wool designed to be worn outdoors in cool weather. Compared to a traditional wool coat, the transitional women's coat-jacket is shorter, easier to move in and doesn't weigh down the silhouette with extra volume at the hem.
Lapels, collar, fastening: how the silhouette is built
The architecture of Bázhane models is built on clear accents. Depending on the cut and fastening, women's coat-jackets fall into three construction groups:
- Models with lapels — variations of the classic cut. Models such as the double-breasted Gliding coat-jacket feature a wide classic notched lapel collar that visually shapes the shoulder line. The single-breasted oversized coat-jacket with sharp lapels has a dropped shoulder and flap pockets.
- Wrap coat-jacket — fastened with a belt, without additional buttons. This group also includes silhouettes where the fit creates soft folds on the sleeves.
- Models with a stand-up collar — pieces that fit snugly around the neck. The Medusa model features a front zip, defined shoulders, a voluminous sleeve head and a delicate peplum that accentuates the waist.
The variety of constructions lets you choose a strict option with sharp lapels for formal meetings or a softer silhouette for relaxed city looks.

100% virgin wool is high-quality new wool that provides good wind protection in the transitional season. Adding mohair and alpaca makes the fabric more voluminous, adds textured softness and lets you wear the piece comfortably during the first winter frosts.
How to choose length and size
To ensure the coat-jacket fits your figure precisely and suits your height, the Bázhane range is divided into the following length groups:
- Cropped (53–56 cm) — models such as Gliding. For these, the key parameters are sleeve length and a precise fit at the shoulders, to keep the balance with high-waisted trousers or skirts.
- Mid-length (64–70 cm) — the Immense and Medusa models. A versatile mid-thigh length that covers jackets and knit tops.
- Elongated (72–79 cm) — oversized models such as Fuzzy Alpaca.
When choosing oversized models, take your height into account. For example, for a classic oversized coat, stylists recommend that women under 175 cm tall choose one size smaller than usual to maintain proportions.

Wool coat-jackets must never be washed at home, as water and machine spinning deform the fiber structure and ruin the shape of the lapels. Pieces made of 100% virgin wool or blends with mohair and alpaca are dry clean only. For everyday refreshing, a soft clothes brush is enough. Models made from a blend of wool, mohair and alpaca need gentle brushing with a special brush in the direction of the pile to restore their fluffiness. To remove dust and creases, use special alpaca care sprays or take the piece to a dry cleaner. Do not iron this fabric the usual way, so as not to scorch the pile. Keep the piece in a dry, cool place on a wide hanger of the right size to preserve the shoulder line and the shape of the lapels. Store the coat-jacket in a breathable fabric garment bag with a moth repellent inside. Avoid crumpling it or squeezing it tightly between other clothes in the wardrobe. The voluminous cut of oversized models lets you freely layer them over chunky knit sweaters, hoodies, shirts and even tailored jackets.
